I just acquired a nice Spencer carbine.  It is a Burnside contract M1865, #13289.  Do you have any more information about it?   Thanks.

Hi,

The following photo shows a partial page from the Marcot bible, "Spencer Repeating Firearms," which will give you some info on your Burnside Spencer.  It was not available for use during the Civil War and sales of the Burnside Spencers most probably were limited to the civilian market.

Two Flints,
Thanks for the help.  I have ordered Marcot's book so I can read more about the production, etc.
