44-40 Spencers are no longer available, See correction below

Fellow Spencer Fanatics,

I just found out that the Spencer in 44-40 is no longer being made.  They are only making them in 56-50 and 45LC.

I just thought I would pass this info on to youall.

Has it actually been discontinued by Armi-sport or are they just not going to be imported by the US distributer (like the 45 LC rifle)? Just curious. I have one of the 44-40 rifles. Just thinking of what spare parts I might want to pick up while I still can.

The last time I called Taylor's they told me that the 44-40 was no longer available.  I called them again just now and they told me that they are still available but they just  forgot to put them in the catalog.  So the long and short of it is  you can still buy a new one and parts should not be a problem.  Sorry for the false alarm.
