We, Joan and I, after we came back from the convention had planned on attending the National Shoot at Evansville.  Well when we got home we found out her Father, who turns 96 today had a set back in his fight against prostate cancer.  Many of you know Joan lost her Mom on January 15th of this year.  She is very worried about her Dad and doesn't want to get very far from him.  If things look up we might still make it but otherwise we won't.

Joan has been through a lot in the past 30 months or so, with me being hospitalized twice and her Moms passing and now her Dad's illness.  She could use your prayers if your so inclined.

Pete,

I'll say a few prayers for Joan's father.

I do hope things fall in place for you and Joan to make the Nationals.  That match would not be the same without you.

I. W. K., Kind Sir,
You & your Child Bride are always in our thoughts down here in Iowa. My Pard Eastern Earl & I frequently recall the 'good times' we had with you and her at the Natl.'s in Ackley and jawing at the Conventions.
We are both saddened to read about your present scenario but are hopeful that it all works out for the best. 96? Whew! That guy can tell us all some tales about what was there in his youth! Hope you both have had a chance to write some of his memories down from those long ago days on paper or on your PC.
Mark & I both hope to see you at the 2012 Natl.'s wherever it is as we'll both be ready to journey there and jaw with you both.
Best regards and always remember we pray for you all every day!
