BBAYS

Decided to try my hand at a couple of Western Holters. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the Leather Shop.

Wow! If this is your first attempt at making Holsters you did a beautiful job. The designs are classic and the workmanship is excellent.
Look forward to seeing your future projects
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Ive made a few ccw holters and a western saddle but this is my first venture into western holsters.

Good work, Brays. You must have done your research.

BBAYS:
Very nice work. You should be proud of these "first" western holsters.
Your previous experience shows in them.
I'm always glad to see new posters who appreciate the more historically correct styles, as they are my personal favorites.

Very nice job and some authentic designs too. Add a toe plug to the top one and it would be one of the closer 19th century Wyoming style holsters I see. Did you make the pattern? The Cheyenne holster is a very much copied design but few get it right, nice job on it.

Thanks. The top one is a Will Gormley pattern. The bottom one I made myself.

Beautiful work. You surely understand "western".
There's no stoppin' a man who knows he's right and just keeps on comin'.

VERY nice! Be careful, though... If you show these in public, somebody will ask you to make some for them at cost.  Before you know it, you'll be in the business yourself!  That is bad in two respects: It cuts into your shooting time, and it's more competition for me!  ;) ;D
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!
