Wow, I want to say how foolish are the hopefuls, but it would get lost in the dreams.

Doc Sunrise

As far as the USFA site, they should change products to product.

Billy,
Thanks for the compliment!  I was shooting a pair of Long Hunter USFA Rodeo II's that day - great guns!

Since I only live 20 minutes from them I may just have to take a ride by the place.

Great, and tell that girl on the phone to quit the BS.

You know, many of us have danced around this subject. Many people are avid USFA supporters.

Here is my opinion (and I have been down the road before):

More than likely we will not see a "retooling" or a better word might be "resurrection" of USFA.
It's just not the kind of business many would invest in and it appears that the current owner has other interests.

I would strongly resist the urge to put any money down towards a future order...........

went down ledyard st this morning and couldn't find anything there with the USFA name. Either they closed, are hiding or they moved.

Just called them up to get an address.  Still Ledyard  but there has never been (at least when I visited) a name on the building.

Billy Bristol, someone actually going to the factory is interesting!  I'll stay tuned for this report!

Old Doc

I think it significant that neither USFA nor Zip are listed as exhibitors at next month's SHOT show, where new products in the firearm industry are traditionally introduced.

mtone

I think the last time USFA went to SHOT was in 2007.

You would think with such a revolutionary new product they would return.

Doc Sunrise

Their last hope faded away when Gary left as far as I am concerned.  Gary worked hard at smoothing out the actions of Mr. Donnely, and bent over backwards to keep customers happy.  He is gone, USFA is gone!

I will be going to the factory tomorrow. I am going to try and talk to sales or whom ever is in charge there and also see if I can take a tour. Having been a toolmaker and designer all my life ,and also working on firearms through the years, maybe I can give them some pointers to help with production and quality. I hate to see something like this go by the wayside.
