Howdy all,

I was trying to get the ejector seperated from the ejector rod, following the directions inside the gun box.  I was prying on it pretty hard but stopped because I didn't want to do any damage, but I think i stopped too late.  Once I go it back together and was cycling the gun I noticed the cylinder wasn't turning about every tenth cocking.  After comparing it to the other gun I noticed there is now more play in the ejector where the six "teeth' sit in the cylinder.  My fear is that I'll need to replace the cylinder if my torquing pryed open the hole that the ejector and rop fits through.

Any comments would be appreciated,

To get the ejector off the ejector rod you "unscrew" it not pull it off.  I would remove the cylinder and then unscrew the ejector from the ejector rod.  Then check for bent parts.  Put it back together making sure the ejector is screwed on tight and see if that fixes the problem.

How did this work out?  Hopefully it wasn't damaged........

I was attempting to screw it off.  My bad on the wording.

I'm calling Tom the gunsmith at Taylor's Monday to see what he has to say.  My luck it will be the hole in the cylinder that I messed up and not the ejector itself.

That sucks.....After I removed my barrel block screws for cylinder cleaning I realized
the factory torques everything so tight that I dod not attempt to remove the cylinder
pin....for cleaning iy after I remove the cylinder I just use CLP down in there and screw
in (so to speak) a cleaning patch and use a q-tip also. The patch will follow the spring all
the way down inside....I hope everything worked out for ya.

My experience with Tom at Taylors & Co. has been great and did wonders with my Schofield.
