Beautiful pistol and outstanding engraving!

It's a fine work of art, but I would like to see the hammer at full cock sometime.
A work in progress.

The gun was engraved by my good friend and I belive one of the best engravers alive today, Rocky Hays.
We were originaly intending to nickle plate the gun hence the deeply carved engraving. The last couple of years we have had a real hard time finding a good plater. The Old Masters are dyying off and thier protoge's just don't cut it!
So, we dicided to try a Charcoal Blue on it. Personaly I like the blue with the deep engraving and am glad we didn't go with plating.
The Ivory grips were don by Dan Chesiak
The gun has been blueprinted and has had the action smoothed.

Correct...I''m guessing the term "recently" applies to the engraving & other fancification  ;)
Fairly nice looking piece, too  ;D
