Well yes, the hand engages the ratchet on the rear face of the cylinder or it does on every revolver except one.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

Tis not the part that interacts with the cylinder. ;)

You may want to rethink that.  ;) The cylinder doesn't turn by hydraulics.  ;D

Sorry, in my case, I am referring to the stud, on the hand, that is attached to the hammer.
No hydraulics required.   :o

Got my SAA back from Jim Finch and Longhunter's yesterday.  To say I am happy is a true understatement! The action is amazing; trigger pull feels great, cocking is smooth and easy (but all four clicks are still there).  I have a feeling I have had the last of my troubles with this pistol.

Jim and Brad couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Both telephone and e-mail contacts with them have been pleasant, and they notified me by e-mail when the gun was on it's way home, along with a tracking number.  All in all, a fantastic experience dealing Longhunter.  I WILL use them again.

Had family over yesterday, so will shoot the gun today.   ;D
