Unfortunately, the only steers that I have had to work with were 'bum' ones ....
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

I guess this is a good illustration of the old fight or flight idea we always hear about.  The one over my right shoulder looks to be in full flight mode BUT the one over my left shoulder seems to be thinking she can take the old fat guy!  These are my closest neighbors and they have woken up to new calves three times in the past week, and I thought only human mothers always do it during the night?  He offered me one of the calves but my wife would turn it into a pet, anyone got a good book on tanning (and lots of spare time)?   ;D
