Howdy fellas!  On a single loop holster, I'm having a problem where when the gun is drawn, the body of the holster tries to pull up out of the loop.  It makes for quite the awkward draw.  What do you folks do to make sure the holter stays secure in its loop?

mississippi sam,I always use a tie down at the bottom of the bucket, I make two holes in the back at the bottom of the holster , and then two more holes in the skirt, I fish a piece of thin leather or latigo lace through the holster and through the skirt and then tie a knot, this is a great assist at least until your holster has been broken in, I do this to all my skirted holsters, I use a base ball glove mending tool to fish my leather strap through, but you could also drill a hole in a flat head screw driver and round the edges off, and you'll be good to go. If you put your tie down in before sewing the seam up it is easier hope this helps. I enclosed a couple pictures to show how this works, you can't see the holes in the skirt, but they line up with the holes in the holster, your holster is all sewn up now, I always put my holes in before sewing, so for you, you'll just need the DRILL two holes, use a 1/4" drill bit, and make your holes about 3/4" apart. now use the tool to fish the ties through, when drilling use a piece of doweling inside the bucket so there is a backing when you drill, otherwise before you sew up the seam , you just put your leather tie down through the bucket portion first, it saves a little time.

I second what TW wrote. That little tied down helps a heap.

Very cool trick, TW. I've done something similar when I wanted tiedowns but never did it just to hold the skirt. Thumbs-up.

Thanks Will, the tie down at the bottom of the bucket totally eliminates any pull out of the bucket from the loop or loops, and if the loops are lined up and made for the size belt that will be worn there isn't any holster rise, but in cases where a longer drop is incorporated, and there is just too much distance between the top loop and the top of the bend in the skirt where the belt lays,  this is where the holster to belt lock works out great to anchor the holster down.
