Howdy y'all, from the Cariboo! We live west of Quesnel towards Nazko (got it, right?) and about 2 hours west of Barkerville, site of the historic Cariboo Gold Rush.

Any chance to wave the Maple Leaf/Union Jack has to be done. Missed the entire shooting season last year due to a minor inconvenience called cancer treatment. Puts me in good company with the likes of John Wayne (JBB in "The Shootist"), the difference being - I survived.
Getting into it with a vengeance this year (staring down the 'Big C' will do that for a man) with the purchase of a pair of Taylor's 44-40 Remington New Army conversions; in transit as we speak. Good match ups for my Henry and '66 in 44-40.

My roots in CAS go back to the days of wearing one pistol (the .44 and .45 ruled. You were considered a wimp if you shot a .38 Spl. WCFSS#22, SASS #9854) and we actually had 'pocket pistol' matches. After a hiatus of a few years, I came back to a two-gun game and the.38 Spl. ruled! Pocket pistol matches were gone as too few were 'grandfathered' 12(6). It was now 'IPSC in Cowboy Clothes'.
Looking forward to a few 'away from home' events, time and money permitting.

Welcome back to CAS PJ Hartack. :D  Check out the Alberta Frontier Shootists web page for our shoot dates.  We are now hosting both the Canadian Championship and the SASS Regional at Rocky Mountain House, AB.  Excellent facilities and free dry camping on site for all shoots.

Take care.
