Obama's efforts finally reached us about 90 days ago. Business is terrible so I have time on my hands.
I have ALL the 44-40 brass I own loaded.
I have 1600 MavDutchman 200 gr Big Lubes poured and sized and lubed to .428
I have 2000 .454 round balls for the Armys poured and a dab of Ballistol on them to keep them pretty.
I have 800 12 ga STS shells loaded.
I have 600 of the shotgun shells vaccum sealed for moisture protection.
I have a 3# peanut jar full of lubed felt wads for the Armys.
My 1866 is polished internally until it is scary smooth.
I've re-polished the chambers on my Baikal.
I've swapped the triggers on my Baikal.
I've done most of the Pettifogger modifications to my Armys.
I've blued the Army that came to me in the white(Not a very good job, may have to start over on it)
I've been thinking about jeweling the hammers on my Armys but that is only an hour or so each so one day would cover them.
I have found a new foot for the jack on my Camper trailer.
I've purchased and figured out a load leveling rig for said camper.
I have a new transmission cooler for my Dodge.
I have application in for Bayou Blast, US Open, Possum Trot and Comin at Cha.
I've had my bum knee scoped and am almost 100% from that.

I've tried most of the available Irish Whiskeys and settled on Powers and Kilbeggan as my favorites

Winter is not yet half over and I'm developing a sever case of cabin fever.

What have I missed?

I hear ya Noz, and I feel yer pain.  My shelves sag under the burden of loaded ammo.  I'm also out of empty brass to load.  My guns are so clean they could pass for new, cept for the wear.  My holsters are burnished with K9.  My boots are waxed to a military shine and my hats are all clean and blocked.  Heck, even my red long johns are clean.

Winter's a drag.

More coffee now.

Too funny!

Be careful, your initial line could be misconstrued by some twisted individuals and earn you a visit from some inquisitive men in suits, lapel pins of the day and radio ear pieces.

In addition, terms like "scary smooth" just aren't civil and add to to the contentious rhetoric... Also anyone who vacuum bags ammo is up to no good. Oh boy...

That would be something to have on tape as you explained that the BP was not an explosive, but you used it to play Cowboy...

The sad thing is that none of the above is outside the realm of possibility.

Well Noz, its time to pour yourself 3 fingers of Irish, get out your geetar and turn your post into a good old cowboy ballad.   :D

Well.... see, if you take your time, you get a more harmonious outcome.

Well, there's still Bourbon,  Single Malt Scotch,  Single shot rifles and Krag Jorgensons.  And women.   (Some of my favorite  winter pastimes . . .)

Hi,

Getting back to the cabin fever, Jimmy Buffet wrote this song about his only winter north of the Mason-Dixon,

Last night,
I shot six holes in my freezer ...
I think I got cabin fever ...
I gotta go where its warm ....

Well, I did the first thing, twice. Don't have a geetar but I sang a bunch of Merle Haggard and watched the encore Western channel.

I have a friend tht recommends 3 fingers of Tequila......in the bottom of a wash tub. Says it'll cure most anything

I am of pure Irish descent, (everyone wwho has married into the family up to this generation are Micks as well, so I'm pure Irish), now if you pour a few fingers of Irish here it will be Four Fingers! :D

I'd be reluctant to completely jewel the hammers of the Armys, maybe below the frame line, but it would look a bit odd sticking out.

Hard to imagine being stuck insdie our winters are not so severe. Mind you there is a downside, we never get time to do odd jobs, so most og the things you have done, never get done here. I am lucky to have more than a box or two of 44/40s loaded at any time and it is a panice getting ready just before a shoot.
All my cowboy gun's calibres start with a 4! It's gotta be big bore and whomp some!

The only thing I can see that you might of missed is did you get your Winter Range application in on time?  Lots of people waited to long and the match is filled.  Got a call from T-Bone and he said he missed the cutoff.

I too have most everything loaded up. Got that Mighty 10 so more shot shells for it.

I did stumble upon a box with around 1000 of the little 150 gr big lube boolits that i had left over from my casting days. I got out the starr lubsizer  and went after it today. Still got round 500 more to lube. even found some of the styrofoam  trays to stack these little buggers in. YE HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is still fun planning on someday actually getting to shoot.

For some reason the vacuum sealing did not work. Every package was back to normal pressure when I checked them. So 400 are sealed in ammo cans, 300 are sealed with shipping tape in plastic containers and 100 are aching to go somewhere and shoot.

Doing an addition to the gun cart that will make the long guns more secure.  I've got the headlights and tail lights on it but there is no room for the battery.  Maybe if I take off the 2500watt generator? Hmmmmm.
