5 or 6 years ago there was a thread showing someone making all manner of percussion guns from wood. Might have been this same man.  He made 1851 and 1860 Colts, a Pettingill, a Root side hammer Colt, and some others.

Now I have as much use for one of those as I do for a barbed wire jock strap, so why would I really, really like to have one?

If well treated, they would be handy for shaping/form fitting holsters.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.

Just for the hell of it, wouldn't it be all kinds of neato-nifty-keen to frame a wooden sixshooter in a blued steel, nickel plate, and ivory frame?
