I shot the Trail Boss today.....

Howdy......
I shot with The Dulzura Desporados today. I shot the powder (not the person) I loaded up 35 with 5.5gr and 200 with 5.8gr. in 45 Colt, 255gr RNFP Bear Creek moly coated bullits. This stuff filled the case almost half way. I could not tell the differance between the two loads. It seemed very accurate (in my guns, Vaqueros and a '66 rifle) I didn't have to adjust the sights on the rifle. The recoil was a little less the my previous loads of 6.0gr of Winchester 231. It was about as clean / dirty as the Win 231. 'Fusty Dog Breath' said it had a 'different but good' smell, I couldn't tell......
We didn't have a chrony so I don't know how fast it was. IMR says 725 FPS for that load (5.8gr)
I like the stuff....I think I'm gonna stick with it  Now all I gotta do is shoot up the 1000 rounds of the old Win 231 load I still have loaded up

I got the same problem, Drifter. About the same number of .45's with 6.0g of HP-38 to deal with, almost 300 38-40's, and a thou or so .38 Specs.. Might be next season before I'm all Trail Boss all the time............Buck
