I really like that David, very similar to the rope pattern, the one I see listed refers to that as ribbon pattern.  Think I will order it from my guy after the first of the year.  I have not ordered one them yet but he is offering checkering plates in a couple of sizes, which can be cut into custom shapes by the leather worker.  It should be the cheapest way yet to obtain custom fit plates to go with any pattern that is done on a production basis.
