I ended up with another 5.5" 58 Remmy, and decided I had better make a set of holsters for the pair. I wanted to use a stamping pattern I saw on an old saddle, and decided this was the time.
The old saddle btw, was covered in these stars. Had 3 on the back of the cantle, several on the skirt, pretty much everywhere. Wish I had boughten it just to remake it.
They will get some more antiquing, as far as scratches, scuffs, etc, but the color is pretty much where I want it.
I will try to get some woodpile pics when they are all done.
Thanks for looking!

Excellent work Dalton, great color and the use of mule foot on your border really stands out, I've always liked this look and use it myself, well done pard, but it needs the wood pile, Har Har  ;D

Love the design!!!!  Great look to the holsters.  I have one of those 5.5 Remmys with an R&D cylinder, been looking for just the right look and you've found it.  Excellent.

Hmmm, your half right! The other half is a second dip in coffee after the oil. Gave it the variation in colors.

Dalton,
are those one piece, or is the belt loop separate?

Separate loop, with the top rear side of the holster arched high to keep the hammer from poking me in the ribs....

Classic style, deceptively simple in appearance but with a ton of detail, understated yet still looks expensive.
