Got my '71 yesterday. Very excited. :D
The action is a little rough, but I'm working it out. Bought a reduced main spring, but haven't installed it yet. Dang these are purty guns!

The west is the best, get here and we'll do the rest.

So far, so good. Got the reduced main spring in, which made a difference. Haven't noticed any peening (sp?) on the cylinder, so it may not have to rush right out to a gunsmith.
I've been perusing all the useful info on this forum in anticipation of this gun. There's some seriously knowledgeable folks here!

Messerist

Nice one!  What caliber?

santee

Messerist: .45...sorry for the delayed response.
Refinished the grips yesterday. Stripped all the urethane off, hit them with a little Fiebings med. brown dye, and then three coats of Tru Oil.
