They created a glich and made windows 8 the defualt,windows 7 is the best and was free on some computers when purchased,they replaced with 8 and now 7 is for sale..Just my opinion,but it happened to me.

It came through automatic updates,install your updates usining the custom button so you can see what it is.

I keep auto updates turned off and went in thru the utilities and registry to disable many many things that I consider spyware, any security stuff that is really required I will install manually.

Hi Rick -
tommorrow I will go get a checklist, links, etc off my "safe isolated work machine" to post.

if your machine is anything like my laptops there is a whole crapload of monitoring and remote login capability built
into it "as delivered" in order to "enhance the customers web experience and assist with remote support"

please respond to this thread with, well, anything.
that way I will see it when I click "new replies" and it will remind me.
