Just in case anyone needs a spanner wrench to remove the firing pin on a British SMLE, you can make an excellent one from a 6mm deepwell socket.  I used a Craftsman socket I got from Ebay for about $2.  The special spanner wrench I bought from Sarco Inc. shattered on a firing pin that turned out to be bent.  The one I just made worked perfectly without a wimper.  Good luck!

I think the one you can make yourself is actually quite superior to the ready made ones.  The steel in that socket has got to be a lot better than what was in the wrench I orininally bought.
