Well, gold closed at another high today, almost $1280.

Guess that is why I chose not to go to my local coin dealer and went home.

If gold falls this time, I am gonna buy a bunch...

Who the hell buys at those prices??Beside Warren Buffet and Goerge Sorros~When it was at 500 nobody was buyin much that i saw..

Unlike stocks there is no way of knowing what volume is changing hands at a price. 

There is a temptation to sell some that I bought a hole lot lower . . .


. . . . . but what it there is a really extreme international crisis the next day and it goes EVEN HIGHER . . . and never does come down again ?   

I feel safer just holding on to what I bought at good prices.

I waz continuing to buy small quanities at the high prices (ie 1/20th to 1/10th oz) but this high I am just going to sit on it and watch for a bit. The housing market is going nuts right now.

My mortgage guy wrote me and said a first timer can get into a house for only $7k down and much relaxed restrictions (read credit reports etc.)

5yr ago:  low was $456 and rose steady

60 day ago:  low was  $1178 and steady rise

30 day ago:  low was $1233 and you guessed it..

I wonder if there is going to be a bubble??
