Ten Wolves Fiveshooter

Howdy All

I've wanted a 1911 for years, but just kept putting it off, well I finally got one, and it's a real shooter, after looking at all the different WB holsters, several stood out in my mind, but one just called to me, and it was Marshal Will Wingam's Frazier No. 9 holster, and the Mag pouches that he made to go with it, after talking to Will, and with his help, I decided to do it, so here is my rendition of the Frazier No. 9 with mag pouches and gun belt. hope you like it. The holster has a holster to skirt tie down, and a belt lock, all leather was dyed in natural walnut dye, but I got less color this time than usual, guess it's time to brew up some more walnuts and add them to my tub of dye.

Thanks for the help with this Will

The finish is three heavy coats of Neatsfoot Oil and left in the hot sun, and then three coats of Skidmores Leather Cream drying one day between coats and then buffing to a nice shine.

Either way though I am wanting to get started now! Awesome rig pard!

What kind of 1911 did you get TW? My PC won't let me enlarge the pics for some reason

Thanks for the comments amin, I think choice is a personal thing when it comes to making ones mind up on which one to make, I wanted to stay closer to the original for looks on this one, my gun is a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec in 45 acp, with a few small upgrades, I added a Ambi Safety and a Wide Spur Hammer, and different grips, SA tuned it up, and it's a shooter now. :o 8)

Outstanding, TW. You really did a great job on it. The mag pouches are well done and the holster is outstanding. You knocked that one out of the park.  8)

Outstanding 10 Wolves! I hope to get down there is a couple of weeks, and I'd love to see it in person. Is the back a fold over sewn together on the bottom? What weight leather did you use for the back piece? Thanks. Great color too.

Howdy TW,
Outstanding is the best word to use. It has a real classic look to it. As KT said "You have not lost your touch". This Rig will be a real inspiration to me as I picked up a 1911 yesterday.

Many thanks for sharing your talents and expertise with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Special thanks to Marshal Will Wingam, for posting the picture of his Frazier No. 9 that started this, and his help along the way. ;)
