Here is a screen capture from one of the clips....That is me on my spotted saddle horse Rocket, Kevin Browning standing (his appaloosas in the back ground), Kevin is the one in the chase scene, and Jeff Havert on the big black. That little paint of mine turned out to be quite the stunt horse and hit his cue marks every time.

GREAT photo!  It captures the spirit of the movie, from what I've seen & heard.

Bill, It looks like Rocket may taking a nap between scenes. It's been too hot to get out much. May be I can out there next spring.

Thanks Boys...it was fun, and I think you will find out that we did a good job of keeping everything accurate to the period,,Mike Tatham, John Torrence kept the clothing in check.....and I paid close attention to the hats. They don't call me the hat nazi for nothing  ;) ;) wink, wink, As Monty Python would say.....Robert Duval would be proud of me...if you get my drift ;D

(Texas Law Dog)
Jim....we're gonna go ahead and shoot the final scenes on the three day weekend during the Columbus holiday weekend, instead of next spring....Should be cooler....if you want to come up from Texas...let me know and I'll send you directions, you are welcome to bring your wife.

We're gonna be filming the scenes of the Pawnee raid on the Comanche camp August 21st. in Fort Wayne Indiana...yes Ft. Wayne. I have a friend up there that owns large horse farm that has cottonwood and ash trees along a creek just like in Kansas. All I have to do is match the color of the soil in post edit. These are the only scenes where there will be women and they all Native Americans.

OCB, That sounds like a plan. I'll let you know if I can do it. I've been to Wichita many times. I will need directions to Ellsworth. I had a funny thing happen to me a couple of days ago. I had a phone call from Ellsworth. I thought it was some of you guys. It turns out the lady just misdialed the number.

Bill, Great pictures. There is something that your horse does not like though. His ears are laid back, he's not happy about something. Can't wait to buy the film. I love it when all look the part, means a lot to me. Keep up the good work. Tj

Great stuff! Sometimes we take our beautiful skies and scenery for granted out here on the plains. We in North Dakota have some wonderful natural backgrounds too. Any time you feel like coming out here, let me know and I will arrange to show you some great country. Thanks.

TJ.......,
That photo was taken early in the day and he hadn't had his breakfast yet ;D. Naw, you'd look like that too, if you had my big fat a** strapped to your back.

That horse is one of the mildest mannered horses I've ever owned....never gets mad and loves people, Dave Hollandsworth and Bart Stewart can attest to that. I think that is the Mustang in him.

He is fast for a small horse (15 Hands)....I've had him up to around 40+ MPH, clocked speed, running behind my son's pick up truck down the lane across the road from me...
