Looking for a place that is willing and able to put the CCH colors back on my Navy frame. Any suggestions?

Doc Sunrise

One of the best is Doug Turnbull at Turnbull Mfg.

I have had work done by Turnbull, and it has always been top notch!

St. George

There are a number of folks who can do this - look on your favorite search engine under 'casehardening' and you should see a goodly number pop up.

Then too - you can do a bit of reading here to see who's had what done and by whom.

Turnbull is expensive - putting that much money into an Italian clone may not be a wise investment - so assess several price lists before you have any work done.

Good Luck!

Short Knife Johnson

I'd have to say check into getting Keith Kilne at Wyoming Armory in Cody WY.  I think it's $75 or so if the parts are stripped and ready to go.

They recommend that any parts sent for CCH that have been done before get annealed as to prevent warpage.  Give them a call and see.

Thanks pards. Might need to soak this frame in molten lead for a little while and polish it up. Y'all are right, surely don't want to dump a ton of extra cash into an Italian pistol, wouldn't even worry about it if it wasn't one of the old style Leech and Rigdons without the silly Naval scene they put on the cylinder now.

Curley Cole

This here GW2 is one of a pair done by Turnbull. He is the one to go to fer CCH. It is well worth the money when you look at them colors.

Wild Billy:

I have personally used Classic Guns Inc. in Crete, Illinois for their color case hardening services and they are outstanding.

http://www.classicgunsinc.com/

Their color case hardening finishes are beautiful, they know the correct process to keep dimensions perfect, their customer service could not be better and their turn-around times are excellent.

You will be very pleased with your results if you use them for any gun finishing processes.
