Here is the double chape belt that I adapted from Packing Iron, p.130.  It shows the shotgun double loops mounted, with a second front piece with 12 loops for .38-55 in front.  To the right are my antique Imperial military spurs.  They are stamped MP on the shank.  I'm not sure if they are NWMP, but MP is a common stamp for mountie gear.

That's the ticket right there!Very nice! :) :)
Bunch a ole scudders!

That's the hot ticket, Sir C. The shotgun pouches works nicely. I'll see what I'm going to use before I decide on what to do with the center section.

Thanks for the pic, Johnny. That's a flashy rig, for sure.

JD,
I use a smooth end of a marker on mine to get that line. My creaser leaves a sharp line, which I dont want. I need to get another one and round it off better.

Sir Charles, I really like that look. Would solve that slide issue and look a lot better.

I assume you mean the rounded cap of a sharpie type marker Dalton. I should have asked what weight of leather you are using for the belt pouches Sir Charles, but Dalton, I'd appreciate hearing what you use as well.

Thanks Gentlemen, JD

Yep, mine is a black sharpie, btw ;). Just be careful of the little nub on the tip, you may need to trim it and smooth it a tad.
I think the leather I have been using is about 5-6oz. Its just a piece I have been cutting the pouch stuff from and I dont remember what it is exactly. The last one I built was a little heavier, and will probably hold up better over the years.

My center piece was 8 - 9 oz. and the pouches are 5 - 6 oz., from a belly.
