The Elderly Kid

I've handled exactly one Burgess firearm in my life. This was many years ago in a gunstore in Albuquerque. The owner had it in an open rack and said that he loved to see people pick it up and try to figure out how the action worked. Good find!

I actually handled that rifle in Cody last June. Julia listed it's value somewhere around $12,000.00-$14,000.00. It is a high condition rifle. It has an octagon barrel, mine has a round barrel and a tapered Octagon with half magazine. I can't afford both...

I never considered myself a failure...I started out at the bottom and happen to like it here!

What a pretty and interesting old rifle!  Did you mention the caliber?  Old guns are a delight!
