I'll be at KC's Corral and Mattaponi and sleeping in my own bed that weekend, but I hope everyone has an excellent time!

And if you want some WartHog Ammo, I'll happily give you some of mine...

How'd the WartHog match go, Cammie?  Didja have fun shooting BP? Surely there are stories to tell...

The First Annual Big Iron Showdown was a blast!!!!  The stages were very creative with all kinds of movement and things to do on the clock.  We lit dynamite fuses on the clock and blew up mines.  We rode a stick horse made out of a 6" 2x4 with wheels on it.  In the out house your gun belt was around your ankles and you had to draw your pistols from there.  Shotgun belt was hanging on a peg on the door frame.  One guy had his gunbelt attached to his pants so he just pulled his pants down to shoot the stage. :o

One stage we had to shoot the whole stage with a bowling ball on a chain attached to our ankles.  That one finished up with a 10 ga hammered shotgun gun provided by the house.  The gallows stage had a real dropping platform that you had to pull the lever to drop during the middle of the stage.  Line was "Do any of you guys wanna be hung like this guy" :D  I knocked a rifle target off the stand on that one.   The black powder was a hoot to shoot.  The targets just go away when you start shooting.  Especially on the  gallows stage which was in a pretty deep berm.

It was hot....man it was hot.  Heat index was 111 at noon.  We had several people that dropped out and several that just barely made it.

Hmmm....maybe I'll post the stages up on the match site.
