Joe's place is known for being one of the "high price spreads" .... however, to make matter worse, it was just pointed out on another forum that the revolver is not correctly fitted with the appropriate screws to accomodate a buttstock!

BTW, not mine, no horse in the race, just offering eye candy :-)

I think someone is thinking of the SAA.
The 1860 didn't use a special hammer screw to engage the buttstock. It had cutouts in the recoil shield. ;)

That Centaure offered is of the 3-screw variety, pretty nice condition. The stock that goes with it is original Belgian, too, with F prefix serial.
If a pard is out there has a 4-screw frame Cavalry model Centaure where the stock has gone missing this might be an opportunity to complete the combo?.
