Does the knife and fork fold into the handle?  I ask because it almost looks like they don't.

Gun Butcher, It prob. comes apart ,so the items can be used individually.  Seems I saw a reproduction somewhere.  Jed

They do.

You're seeing the 'extended' utensils - but they all separate.

These are called 'campaign sets' - as are those KFS contraptions that also interlock.

The reason i ask is i have a very old bone tooth brush that i actually dug up about 8 years ago,the bristles are gone of course.It was on a small dirt lot and we found old whiskey bottles too.Figured it had to come from Fort Visalia,i keep movin the dang thing around and thought if anyone had a collection to ad to they could have this one.We also found huge mason jars with lids still on them.This area had trenches all over the place where the chinese lived in tunnels and such and Fort Visalia had smaller encampments around.I get things given to me for my collections and thought someone could use this in thiers.Excellent cept for no boars hair bristles,i read that's what they used.

Ditto...in fact... I have an orginial Combo knife much like the above except mine is Walnut wood scales.
the fork & spoon fold in to one side and the Knife the other, they (the 2 halves seperate as the photo shows)


My toothbrush is bone handled with horse hair bristles , could be badger though.
