Yep, that's mine flying through the air with the greatest of ease.  Have others, but that one was bought about the 1st day back from the "Police Action" we (the USA) set several fellers off to in SE Asia.  It's been cleaned and reblocked several times, but still keeps the sun off.  Gotta love them Stetsons. ;D

Old Top sayz I have way too many hats, (in fact I just gave him a darn nice Stetson I bought in an antique store, that was way too small for me and fits him like a glove..)
anywayz, my current favorite is the one in my avatir and my profile, BUT, I just ordered me up a brand new Open Range from Knudsen Hats, should have it in 3-4 weeks, so will model that when it arrives....

considering that I am 'folliculate challenged', the wearing of hats is just as important a daily decision when venturing out the door as any other.

Same here. Not only do you haveta worry about the sun, but if yer bald and don't wear a hat, it seems like you're forever skinnin' your self on something.

I used to have a lotta caps--flat "driver" caps and the like, but nothing keeps the sun off'n your neck like a hat with an all-around brim. The fedoras (I have 3 or 4) are just pure whimsy, in case I feel like doin' the Blues Brothers routine. Had a REAL nice Panama, but I rotted it out from sweatin' in it.  :(

Never have been much of one for ball caps, though. I do have a coupla NRA ones, including the obligatory blaze orange, but my two favorite gimmie caps are the one from Spam and the one that sez "Yugo" on it.  :D

Not bad, Prof.. Tommy, I guess I'm more used to seeing the Hardy with one side of the brim tacked up, ala the one pic of Gen. Grant........Buck 8) ;)

I was going for the look of an Illinois boy in the Western Theater of the Civil War.  Most of them wore it as I am either as issued or crushed to a shape of their choosing.  Mine is pushed in at the top.

I'm seeing some nice hats here!

River City John, how about this for an idea: Can you take a picture of that wall with all the hats hanging on it? I'd say that'd look pretty durned good!

Well....Here's my lid.  It's a Stetson Safari Hat.  I replaced the Puggaree Band with a one inch wide braded horsehair band.  Note the smoke cloud.  I was shooting Holy Black in my scattergun.  My timer, Mudflat Mike, was hacking and coughing and asking what the hell I was shooting.

Howdy Doody

Now that I finally got my pictures going, here is my hat tree. Actually a fence post I stuck rods into.

I've got a place to keep my chaps, canteen, rope and I can make a fast gettaway when needed  ;D
