Geeze,

I'd need and artillery caisson and a couple of horses just to bring those along .... but they are gorgeous!

KT,

AS a fellow Damascene Groupie, I would love to see a full page photobucket pic of the blades in kk.jpg so I could admire the pattern of the damasdcus ... pretty please?

WWE, I don't have a bigger profile pic of the toothpick, but it was made of the same damascus as the Bowie style.Just a random pattern.Dave :)

WaddWatsonEllis

Beautiful ... and I really like the way he used the pattern in the Damascene to accentuate the curve of the knife just above the second 'blade edge' ...

lol, that "He" would be me but, to tell the truth,it was just luck.With the billet being around 15" to start, I didn't have alot room to play with, as the blade with the tang was about 14".Dave :)

KidTerico

WWE Dave did the blade work and Josh did the sheaths. Dave really out did him self for me, KT

KT;

Both Dave and Josh go beyond the professioinal phase into places of real kindness it is really humbling to have friends line Josh and Nate and Dave and Chuck ... and then to do those kinds of kindness ... it is really humbling

I was reading the ohter day that one should work as if the Lord was your boss ('cause He is)  .. if these four are not there, they are certainly not that far away ...

They say if you really work for something, it has a higher value .... well I ate alot of oatmeal and peanut butter to afford somehting nice, so they are even more special to me .... And it is good that I am single; I doubt very serously whether I could ever have made a spouse understand the deprivation .... *S*

What do you call the style of the second blade (bottom of the first picture and the only one in the second picture)?

To me, a newbie, it looks like a Kukhri, one of those forward curved blades from India. However, since India is a bit west of where this forum usually focuses it's attention, I'm thinking this may be a style that I'm unfamiliar with.

Not a lot, I'll bet.   Might exceed that by the end of a long, hot day.  I have  a Henry that runs about 111 pounds by the end of a match.   ;D
