I was out tonight to weekly CAS practice.
A guy came in with a new Stoeger coach gun but with single trigger.
The question came up as to it being SASS legal. I did not remember reading that any where.
But another SASS mamber said not SASS legal.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
He dod not shoot it as it is N.I.B. and maybe can take it back.

Yes single trigger coach guns are fine.
I thought so. The poor guy was going to take it back to the gun shop!
I know the gun shop and he would not have sold it if he thought the guy could not use it.
I read through the rule book and could not find any mention of single trigger.

Thanks a heap pard;

I just found it in the SASS handbook page 14:
http://www.sassnet.com/Downloads/RO/SASSHandbook-16-2010.pdf
"SHOTGUN REQUIREMENTS
Any side-by-side or single shot shotgun typical of the period from approximately 1860
until 1899 with or without external hammers, having single or double triggers is allowed.
Automatic ejectors are allowed on single shot break action, lever and pump action shotguns
ONLY. Side-by-side shotguns may not use automatic ejectors. Lever action, tubular feed,
exposed hammer shotguns of the period are allowed, whether original or replicas. The only
slide action shotgun allowed is the Model 1897 Winchester shotgun, whether original or
replica. Certain shooting categories require a specific type of shotgun and ammunition to be
used. Military configurations are not allowed (i.e., trench guns)."
Thanks
