This makes me think of the fur coat Robert Redford wore in the movie Jeremiah Johnson. I just saw it the other day.

The coat appears to be buffalo. There were some of these for sale at our convention
a couple years back for $500 I thought very reasonable. Was the hat he's wearing
beaver?
