howdy Pards
say this design in a catalog for a set of spur straps and thought id draw up something like it and just wanted to get some input on it before i made it into a template

That looks like a variation on the buckeroo pattern which I like but once you put the buckle and everything on it , it hides alot of your tooling or am I looking at it wrong.

Cowboy that would look great and I have seen some of them with real fancy buckles . That really makes them shine. 
What weight of leather are you using on your straps?  I ask because I have been using 8-9 oz and it seems a little thick in the buckle area when its folded over.

i use 9-10 oz for the main body and and adjustment strap and the buckle parts are 4-5 oz usually

I like it Cowboy! Kinda reminds me of the metal boot tips  that are used to ornate Cowboy boot tips. Would look really cool with boots that have those. Do you have something planned out for the tooling pattern already Cowboy?

not yet will probablelly come =up with something in the middle of the night and have to get up and draw it out LOL
