:'(  Sorry, Drifter, that is an agravatin' thing.  But try to look at it this way: at least it's plastic, and if worse comes to worse, you can cut back to clean, and build it back without too much trouble.  Just imagine if it was all screwed together galvanized, or havin' to sweat a copper joint down in a hole like that.  Try to count your blessings.   ;) ;D

Howdy......
When it comes right down to it....PLUMBING SUCKS  :o
I can replace a 15 1/2", 2 plate clutch in a BIG truck,I can rebuild 40,000 pound tandem rear ends in trucks,I can do all the machine work to make / repair drive shafts on anything that rolls,I can rebuild a 13 speed transmission, I can find any parts for your truck(tractor)/trailer anywhere in the world. Can I take care of a simple pipe repair....NNNOOOOOOOO ! I might as well dig a hole and jump in........... ;)

Good shootin......

I'm with ya Vern.  The only way to enjoy plumbing repair is to have someone else do it!

I'd do electrical work anyday before plumbing- even installing track lighting is better!  ::)

I dunno.....

After paying a guy $50 an hour and having him completely butcher the plumbing under my kitchen sink and being subjected to his hairy, pimply, plumber's rear while he did it...

I may not enjoy it, but I'd rather do it myself if possible.
