I wanted to put my 58 in the food dehydrator to dry, but it didn't fit. So I found a big bowl the right size to replace the lid and put a hole in it to run the barrel out of. Some of the hot air will come directly out the hole and some should come up through the barrel.

Or ya might try some of that canned compressed air like ya use to clean your computer with.

BOILING water straight out of the tea kettle followed by a good shake works.  A little squirt of canned or shop air after the bolineg water is even better.

Yep.  I have air in the garage, and plumbing the ajacent shop with it is on the short list (combined with a two-way switch so the compressor can be controlled from either building).

Just drop the parts in boiling soapy water, the metal gets so hot,

It dries itself off in seconds.

That sounds like it would work, but I like keeping the mess out of the kitchen and I don't have a stove in the
utility room, My wife got the food dyhydrator for $6 at Goodwill, and she never uses it  so I'm good to go. Plus I
already cut a hole in that bowl ;D

...and here I was wondering what it would sound like having 4 pounds of steel bouncing around in there.   :o   ::)   ;D
