I have a friend looking at a Navy Arms in 44-40 . Is this a piece they could easily get parts , repairs etc.
I searched the Forms and found the regular items but I am wondering if the company still produces or if parts are interchangeable

Appreciate the reply

Navy Arms is an importer/distributer, and import many types of pistols in 44-40.  Since most are Uberti or piettia parts are widely available.

You need to be a little bit more specific. 44-40 is a caliber, it does not do much to describe a specific gun.

Anyhoo, Navy Arms is the oldest company in the replica firearms business, starting in the mid 1950s. Their first item for sale was a replica of the 1851 Colt Navy percussion revolver, and that is what Val Forgett II chose for the name of his new company.

Yes, Navy Arms is still in business, run by Val's son Val Forgett III. They do not actually manufacture anything these days, they are an importer. The majority of the firearms they import are manufactured in Italy by Uberti. If you have a question about a specific model, or parts for it, call them up.

Another really good source for parts is VTI gunparts. They are very knowledgeable about the parts they sell, and exactly which parts go into which gun.

That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!
