No fallout from me, pard!  I'm still way too happy to worry about it!  I've been a Saints fan ever since they received the opening kickoff in their very-first-ever game, at Tulane Stadium, and ran it back for a touchdown.  Things went rapidly downhill from there, where they essentially remained until two years ago.

(Seriously, though people often draw that parallel, American football bears only superficial resemblance to rugby.  If you ever have the opportunity to be right down on the sidelines, where you can actually see, hear and feel how hard they hit each other, you'll understand why the armor.)

The US troop won using the same LINE tactics as the Brits!  Both sides had rifle units.  Look up the Battle of King,s Mountain.

AE,

I have lightened up!  150 pounds this AM, down from 180 about 3 years ago! :o :o ;D  Don't name places, just report about them!  ;) ;D  I'm a military reenactor and that leads me to be a myth buster sometimes.  [Too old to give my weight in Kilograms or Stones!]  [Too lazy to try to convert! ;D]  BTW, I'm Surgeon for the 3rd BN, 95th Regt. of Foot [Rifles] reenacting group here in the Colonies!  ;D  That was my impression at New Orleans recently.  Great time was had by all even thought it was darn cold!

Dr. Bob,

While in Loo-siana, did ya get to either of those restaurants I mentioned?

-- Nighteyes

Dr. Bob

Daniel,

Nope, I stayed in Chalmette!  Didn't make it to the Quarter.  We had some Cajun food catered for the event and that was the extent of my Louisiana dining.  What we had was real good! ;D

BTW,  St. Bernard's Parish [where Chalmette is located] supports the reenactors and some of us feel that we should support them.  They suffered terribly in Katrina and I like to spend what little I can afford there!  Every little bit helps.  Still lots of boarded up building there and in NO as well.

Its great that y'all feel that way.  Yep, nearly five years after Katrina, there's some parts of New Orleans and the central Gulf Coast that still haven't recovered.
