If I heard correctly, this rain hasn't eased the drought we're already in, or at least by much.  Much of the rainwater fell near the coast, and so went on out to sea.

But up here, the rivers are not up (yet), but the skiing areas at Tahoe are having their best season in years, and the snow pack has dropped so low that I believe even Royal Gorge has all their trails open ... and we depend on that snow melt for water all summer long, as does much of the Central Valley ....
