Here is a check book cover I made for my wife for Christmas. It was my first job at lacing, that I completed anyway. The carving isnt the greatest, especially around the flower center, but she likes it anyway.
I am just happy I finally figured out how to lace something, even if its only the single loop. The lacing took me 4 days to figure out, but hey, its done now.
Now I need to get back to work making holsters. I am getting behind.

Ned, we are heading over there as soon as I get my boots on and the truck warmed up. Will let you know this afternoon what we found.
And thanks for the compliments gents. I just dont like the flower center for some reason. Need to get better at making them look round.

Dalton, don't low rate yourself. I've seen some big ticket commercial stuff that doesn't look anywhere near that good.

That looks really good, Dalton. Your work is first rate. Nice tooling, fine lacing. It's easy to see why she likes it.
