I just got this beautiful dang thing and have to share.  Has anyone ever seen a Heiser made for a Broomhandle like this before?  I haven't in 25 years of searching.  The broomie in the first holster is a circa 1899 Conehammer.  In the second is my engraved old west broom with stag grips.  Thanks for looking.

I've seen similar Heiser rigs - complete with carving and lace - for Pre-War Colt Woodsman automatics.

Always nice stuff...

Fascinating, Captain!  ;) And it has a thumb-break, yet!  I've seen pictures of a leather military holster made at the Phillipine Maestranza de Manilla (Manilla Arsenal), and know of at least one 1902 Large Ring hammer C96 that was used by a U.S. Army colonel during the Philipine Insurrection in the early 20th Century (where, BTW, we were fighting the same fanatics we face today!  >:( )

I made a replica of the M de M holster for a customer, using the picture.  Plain, full flap, with the closure fastening one-piece with the flap.  If I can get ahold of the gent, I'll try to post a picture.  But this one you show is fantastic!

Thanks pards for all the kind words.  I, too, have seen Heiser holsters with this kind of carving.  I even own a couple.  However, I have never seen or even heard of a Heiser like this for a Broomhandle.  This is why I bought it for an obscene amount of money.  Supposedly made between 1930 and 1950, this one was made past the time when broomhandles were "state of the art."  Yet, someone wanted to carry a broomhandle mid-20th century in a really nice holster.
