Oops, you're right Driftwood. I'd read a number of posts from the Dark Art's board that day and for some reason I got it stuck in my head that you're also discussed cutting off the case, adding a handle and turning it into a measure.

Fear not my friends, I go through here, look at the posts, bookmark them, then re-read them immediately before doing anything. That second reading right before doing whatever it is important because sometimes I read so much that it gets a little jumbled.

If I were to blow myself up my wife would kick my backside - after she gave me plenty of tender loving care to make sure I'd recovered fully. <grin>

And in this case, I'm planning on going through everything with Tascosa Joe live and in person. Forums, books and videos are wonderful, but there's nothing like hands-on training from someone who knows what they're doing.

Kevin, like everyone said, ya don't really need a trimmer. But if you get to needing one, I recommend the Wilson. It's fast, accurate and very well made.  And a bucketload cheaper than some of the fancy ones.  I use mine fer BPCR: .38-55 and .45-70, and that's just to get continuity of case length.  BTW, if you get into accurate rifle stuff you should buy a caliper and maybe a mic.

After the addiction sets in (I predict it'll happen fast) yer gonna want a progressive press like a Dillon 550B.  But then you'll need to buy more guns of different caliber so you can buy more dies and stuff.   ;D  It never ends.....

Kevin, The cases that I sent you with the press can be loaded as they are. I do separate my cases and keep nickel with nickel. I have loaded many a case since first starting in 1968 and I heard all about nickel cases splitting. After firing them with BP in my CAS rifle I have yet to see one. The pressures that BP has are so low that it is very easy on gear and components. Use them with out fear. I'm glad to hear that you will have someone with hands on to help you. Later David
