G. Nixon & Son Sheffield Bowie Knife

G. NIXON & SON SHEFFIELD bowie knife and CDV picture. The blade has seen much use and is marked DELTA under pyramids and UNITED STATES HUNTING KNIFE. The knife and original CDV picture was purchased from the soldiers family in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1992. The soldier in the picture appears to be Confederate, early war cavalry. The photo has gold tinted buttons and belt buckle. The knife can be seen in his belt next to his revolver. There is no family name or history associated with this set as the family sold it to a family friend and he refused to disclose the name due to other items remaining in the estate.
