Howdy PUK,

Take a look here.  I have a roll of mylar leader tape left over from my old studio color lab and am using it.

Isn't Mylar a plastic?  Then it wouldn;t comply with a fibre wad only range bylaw.

An old timer that used to shoot in our club once told me about making shot cups with heavy butcher paper, back before the plastic ones were readily available. Said he cut out the corners of a square piece so it looked kind of like an X, or a cross, and just pushed it down in, then the shot.

Howdy Pony Express,

I don't see one dang reason why that brown craft butchers paper wouldn't work just as well as Mylar wrap.  I just happen to have a mile or two of mylar leader material left over from my old studio color lab.  I'd say that if plastic were a detriment to style, use brown craft paper and enjoy some tighter patterns.  I'd even be tempted to wax 'em some.

Palidin, why cut the tubes any shorter than 24 inches? The Holy Black NEEDS a longer barrel than smokeless. And every inch of barrel moves the concussion that much further from your, and everyone else' ears. My Double came with twenty inch tubes and I wish it had come with 24 inches.

Sir Charles deMouton-Black

Paladin;  I believe that you'd have to re-register that 311 if you chop it any shorter.  There are MANY reasons NOT TO CHOP!

WPP mentioned a couple, but put that hacksaw away!

And I am unanimous in this.
