I'm kicking around buying a 45/410

I see the Bond derringer and Taurus Judge

Are there any other options out there in the same price range (under 500-600 dollars)? Or perhaps does anyone just make a 410 revolver?

A smoothbore revolver would be illegal so they have a little rifling 45/410. Thompson center also offers a 45/410 barrel.

Even a rifled bore 410 would be ok by me

The problem with the judge is from reviews the 45lc accuracy is not acceptable for me b/c target shooting here is at 25 yards.
410 slugs just rattle down the barrel.

You still have the problem though of little rifling since the gun is really designed for shot instead...so I guess accuracy will be poor with that as well.

IF you can find one, T/C made a 45 LC/.410 barrel with a screw on external choke to bring the .410 back in to a decent pattern after the rifling had its effect. The choke had to be unscrewed before using the .45 LC ...

When I  was in Pararescue, one of the base's area of responsibility was Northern Canada/Greenland and Iceland. I used to store it in my pack so that if I ever had to jump into the North, I would have a gun that was fairly effective against small game and marginally effective against bigger game ... and would quietly fit in a pack ... and I wish I still had that gun!

The barrel was made illegal by some Saturday Night legislation, and T/C quit making it....

And I doubt you would have any problem with accuracy .... *S*
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

Take a look at the "Thunder Five".

I don't know if they are still made, but you can find them on Gunbroker.
