Titled in the negative and with Barry's Bismarck imprinton verso. A fine seated portrait of Crow King in US Major's army jacket with hairpipe breast plate. During the Battle of the Little Bighorn, Crow King and his band of 80 warriors attacked Custer from the South, allowing Crazy Horse and Gall to encircle the doomed 7th Cavalry.

Dr. Bob

Howdy,

The jacket is quite interesting.  I would think that it is part of the treaty goods rather than a US Army jacket.  Note the laced button holes on the cuffs.  I'll bet that the Maj. boards were added.  Very interesting!
