This is my first post.  I've never participated in a match, but seriously consibering it.  Presently I have a Stoeger Coach Gun, a Marlin Model 1894 in .357 and one Cimmaron Model P in .357.  Yesterday I had my first chance to handle an Evil Roy version of the Model P in .357.  I could not believe the action!  Fantastic!

I reload my own using Trail Boss.
What do any of you thinks of this Evil Roy version?  I would appreciate it if you would share your opinion.  Wher can you get the best price for thid revolver?  Someone local (Grand Junction, CO) would do the transfer for $10.00.

Thanks,

Matt Chambers

The Evil Roy's are very nice ..price wise it's a good deal for the money.

In the same vain though,  is the Smoke Wagon from Taylor's just as good and as Deadwood said "The best 'value',,,product and customer service"

One other option, is to watch the Classifieds here and on the SASS wire...there are some offered right now..
when planets align...do the deal !

The Smoke Wagon, Evil Roy, etc. are all Ubertis.  They have been "tuned" somewhat, but any Uberti (including your Cimmaron Model P) can be made to feel as good or better.

Blackpowder Burn

I live near the gunsmith that does the action jobs for the Evil Roy revolvers.  He's a great guy that does very good work.  Can't go wrong with it.

On the other hand for near the same money you can buy a USFA Rodeo from Longhunter that is fully tuned.  USFA's are 100% made in the US.  I like supporting our own companies as much as possible.
