Looks good Rowdy, good luck after a gobbler, it's cool when it all works out
and he is after you. The hunter becomes the hunted, (although for entirely
different reasons) ;D ;D  A few years ago at a gun show a fellow NCOWS member
was carrying an original 87 and wanted $400 for it. It had a small dent in the
barrel so I passed on it, found out later I could have it fixed easily, so I'm
still kicking myself about that one.

Thanks everyone , I have been wanting to use a wing bone call ,but I  don't have one and I don't know anything about using one ? yet . I have an old wooden box call that I use some and other calls I use . If you haven't tried Turkey Hunting you are missing out on a TRUE Adventure .

Rowdy, Do hope you get one with that 87. Tj

The weather is perfect for working up your hunting load . And you have lots of time to fine tune your load . I am thinking about using a Remington Rolling Block this Deer season . I have had this rifle for several years and have just not worked with it . I am going to mow the range , the grass is waist high . That way I can work with my RB and sling some 45-70 lead down range . Remember Deer season is only 5 months away .

Even though I like the rolling blocks my .45-70 is this:

Just ignore the mean looking smokeyless pistol.

Thanks for posting a picture of your Rifle and pistol . Nice looking Rifle and a neat old pistol . Here is a picture of my RB and my Stek knife .

Scattered Thumbs

Good looking RB (assume original) and gorgeous knife.
My 1886 has Winchester written on it, but it's got slanted eyes.
The Mauser pistol on the other hand has been around since 1910(and shows it). ;D

Got a chance to shoot the old RB and it still shoots good . Thinking about a Vintage Hunt with the old RB . It's a good ole rifle but it's heavy , definitely need a sling to lug it around with .

Found a couple old pictures from back in 2005 . I killed a Buck with my Marlin 40-65 , and a nice doe with my yellow boy in 45 colt . This was the early stages of Vintage Hunting .
