Buck, the Buck-eye or also as it's know is not worthless, it is said carrying one is good luck. ::)

Back in the fall of 1999 I was going to Arbor Lodge for the weekend (burning trees to cook with what else ;D)  A friend of my wife asked me to bring her one back to carry for good luck.  Well within a month she met a fella and married him about a year later. ;D

(A mental image of this fella just came to mind, yep that is just another Ol' Wives Tale, they don't bring good luck, they are worthless.)

Well she got lucky, but she was not very lucky about gettin' lucky. ;D  Your milage may vary.

It could have been some sort of a curse on the one I picked up, it was not an Ohio Buckeye, but rather one from J. Sterling Mortons place.  I might be bad luck to get one from there since he help destroy the Tall Grass Prairie. ;D

<Note I told my jokes about Arbor Day to his Great Great Grandson on day, he looked at me funny and laughed, he never thought of it that way. ;D>

Buck don't feel bad about where your from....That's where the best W.Va. jokes orignate..I left there in 71 returned in 75 (military) then moved away in 87 again. Still called a damn yankee, lived there less than a third of my life total, and was born in Valdosta Ga. (Doc Holiday country) Go figure how long you have to wear title.  As for the Buckeyes there good in a slingshot ;D

0.451 round balls cast out of those ingots that have a "?" on them are even better in a sling shot.

The best ammo I ever found though takes a two man crew to be somewhat safe, "Cherry Bombs" ;D ;D ;D ;D

M-80's tend to fly erratic. ;D ;D ;D

(Ya never knew slingshots could be a crew served weapon ;D)

There's always the ubiquitce potato gun. That's crew served too. Honest, Annie, I'll try to find you a genuine Ohio Buckeye.....LR, my mother's side is from W.Va. i'm related to a famous/infamous figure in early W.Va history, Lewis Wetzel. My GG Grandma was his niece and is buried in the Carrolton area. Haven't found her, but intend to..............Buck 8) ::) ;)
