I bought a new cylinder for one of my armys that was showing a lot of wear around the bolt slots. Didn't see Pettifoggers solution until after the wear was done. The new cylinder would not index with any amount of pressure on the hammer. Discovered that the new one was .011 longer than the old one. Ground the face down about .008 and it operates properly with a nice tight gap.
