Missouri Guerilla shooting!

Had a thought, now have a headache, but anyway, thought it'd be fun sometime to shoot as a Border Guerilla....four pistols, using two on pistol targets, and two on rifle targets....shotgun on shotgun targets.......unless they'd let me get away with using a couple more with shot loads!  ;)

Wouldn't be any 'advantage', as you'd automatically get a "P", and then would have to shoot rifle targets with a pistol, but it'd be fun.....and during the Civil War and after, it would be more common to see a feller with a pair of percussion guns than a pair of SAA's.

I think once Little League is done, I'm gonna gear up and give this a whirl......way I shoot, it sure won't hurt none.  ;D
Well..........Bye!

Capt. Hamp Cox

Intend to carry all four handguns on your person, or have two staged?  If the former, gonna have four holsters, or have two stuck in your belt?  I don't shoot C&B, but that sounds like fun even with cartridge handguns.

Foothills Drifter

Howdy......
I'm willin ya give it a try sometime.

Good shootin......

Hamp. I might fiddle with the four holster idea....kinda like Josey Whales....sticking them in my belt don't worry me none, but most folks seem to get all upset by that practise. ;)
Well..........Bye!

Will Ketchum

Sounds like fun ;D  Of course that's why some wouldn't like it. ;)

I thought of shooting a match as a "Contrary"  like in the movie "Little Big Man"   I'd shoot all the rifle targets with the pistols and all the pistol targets with the rifle.  I get bored with the normal 10-10-4 stages 8)

Sounds like a plan..
Maybe we should try it out in a side match, after one of our regular shoots?
I'll bet we'd have pretty good participation.

Are you gonna be around in June?
Adios,

Rifled Slug

I wasn't aware there were Guerillas in Missouri that needed to be shot . :o ;D

Silver Creek Slim

You could have the match director setup a stage for this, so you would not get a P.

Thanks Rifled Slug...I wanted to say somethin' like that too but didn't want to interrupt the thread...been fightin' off the urge. I am amazed they  even have a gorilla season in Missouri, there can't be many of them left. Oh well, thats for the Missouri Fish & Game& Gorilla Dept to figure out.  Sorry guys, just couldn't resist................Pluggum ::)

Sorry to intrude on this older thread, and there may be an answer later, but I have wondered similarly, a bandito class in NCOWS would be a fun option... I'm not very good with pistols, but sounds fun... I'd like to see something that is all rifle... I know I can recommend a stage scenario at my local group, but those could be some fun categories to shoot...

We occasionally do a stage with rifle only. 5 shots, from the hip. Some folks can actually hit the target.

That would be fun too... probably another forum topic, but what is everyone's feeling on mare's leg, has anyone made one or do you just buy the Henry when it is available?

I like the concept of the mare's leg, but more like the one from McQueen's movie, not the Henry... you can have a longer forearm with a side gate...

Interesting. The mare's leg is kind of a novelty, but could be fun.

;;;;

crazy legal stuff:
One cannot legally "make" a mares leg from an existing rifle (without an SBR license), as it becomes an SBR.

The mares legs made from scratch by a manufacturor are perferctly legal because they were originally manufactureed as a pistol...

hope this helps
